How do I install a train?

When you buy a train from my site or one of the participating retailers, you will receive a link to a .exe installation file in your email, along with a key code. The key code is unique to you and traceable back to you. (You might need to check your spam folder if you don't see the email).
 
To download the installation file, you might need to to temporarily turn off any antivirus programs.
 
You can save the file anywhere you like but please keep a copy of the installer safe in case you need to use it again.
 
When you run the installation file, it will prompt you for the location of your game installation. This is normally c:\program files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\railworks.
 
The installer will automatically use the game's installed location if it can detect it.
 
The installer will then place all the files in the correct folders and locations in the game folder. You don't need to manually install anything.
 
Once the installation is complete, you should be able to see the train(s) in the Quickdrive menu.
 

Tip: When you receive your license key, it will have three groups of letters and numbers, for example:

XXXXXX-AAAAAAAA-4444444

If you highlight the complete code and CTRL-C to copy it, the installer program will then automatically fill in all three sections of the keycode for you when you get to the relevant step. This helps reduce mis-typed codes.
