The Plan T rolling stock was one of the original purpose-built stoptrains. New for this type were very lightweight materials used both in the electrical installations, powerplants and passenger carriages. Less weight was important.
A nice implementation of the power and traction system resulted in large startup currents being translated directly into quick acceleration. An electropneumatic brake system was also used for quick stops. Mechanical anti-slip devices were built in to each driven axle and could electronically reduce the power to that axle if it started to slip. Electropneumatically operated passenger doors were fitted to the entire length of the train. This reduced station times as conductors didn't need to close the doors before the train departed. Electric signs inside the trains indicated the next station on the route so passengers could assemble in the loading hallways in time for the next stop.

The Mat'64 Plan V was built more for intercity work than the Plan T, although it was also used as a stoptrain. It was built during 1966 to 1976 so technically wasn't part of the Mat'64 class. The first part of the building work was done by Werkspoor, then completed by Talbot in Aken. The trains can run alone, or connected together with other Plan V and Plan T sets to make longer trains. Again, the electropneumatic brake system was implemented using a combination of disc- and block-brakes at the wheels. It was delivered in standard NS stoptrain colours - yellow with blue stripes.
The NS Plan T is available in 3 colour schemes as part of the same download. The Plan V is available in 2 colour schemes:
