The English company, JustTrains, has been making add-ons for Microsoft Train Simulator since its introduction (last year in June). We received three packs to test: Euro Loco Pack, American Classics, and TGV Train Sim Pack. The first pack is an add-on for all European train fans. The Euro Loco Pack is made up of a number of real European trains, including the TGV Duplex, the Eurostar (the train that makes the run from France to England under the channel tunnel), and two Dutch trains : the Regiorunner and the 2200 Diesel-loco with some example freight wagons. All the trains in the pack are very detailed in their presentation, and a lot of thought has gone into realistic sounds and interiors too. Even the characteristic sound of the Dutch Regiorunner has been included, based on recordings of the real thing. The Euro Loco Pack is a must voor European train fanatics, despite not coming with any routes. You can run these trains on any of the routes supplied with Train Simulator, or any of those from other suppliers. snip This add-on for Microsoft Train Simulator brings real added value to the game. Giving you the possibility to now drive a real TGV or Dutch Train is going to win a lot of fans. snip We were impressed by the overall quality of this add-on. |
